For this first assignment will you have to have five final prints showcasing these principals...
1. Stop Motion
2. Blur
3. Panning
4. Depth of field / Large aperture (object in focus - background out of focus)
5. Depth of field / Small aperture (object and background in focus)
One your favorite final print will be put under glass. I've got a frame for you all. Go to hobby lobby and look for this frame. http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/quick-frame-253708/. They are easy to find on the center aisle. You also need to get a bright white matt cut to size for the frame with an 8x10 opening. Ask the help desk there at the frame department and they can cut you one quickly. The rest of the prints will be turned in with your Photo Folder which you will place your other prints, negatives and a quick statement with about the prints. This will be need to be at least 350 words. We will talk more about this as it gets closer to the project critique date.
On Monday we will go over more shutter speeds and aperture settings so be sure to read over that material that you have been given. Also if you have your film and need help loading it bring the camera to class. Remember you might not get this one roll so don't be disappointed if the first roll is more figuring out how your camera works. Don't forget to memorize those camera and enlarger parts for Monday. See you then!
