Please have your film camera, paper and other materials for class on Tuesday. Make sure you have your digital camera for class. You will need it for an exercise. Please put up your best photogram and pin hole photograph on the magnet board (this if if it turned out) for us to talk about in class on Tuesday. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Note - If you are interested AIGA is tonight. This is a group of graphic artists, photographers, videographers, professional creatives that work in industries across the USA. It's a great way to get exposure for your work and get involved on campus. Come and check out the meeting at 6:30 pm Thursday, August. 29 in at A72. Come see what we are all about! Don't forget about the slide lecture at 4:30 pm in A72 and gallery talk at 5:30 pm tonight.

Hi guys,
Please study your camera parts sheet for Tuesday. We will be discussing the camera parts in the coming week. Send your photos from your In Class Composition assignment to me a mposey@uu.edu before 10 am on Monday. Please have in a zipped folder and not individual files. Rename your files to match the composition rule that it is displaying.
For class on Tuesday we will be making photograms. Please bring translucent and opaque objects that you want to experiment with in class. Here are a few examples.

Welcome to Photography I. This will be one of your best guides to keeping up with assignments during this course. Look here for inspiration, thoughts and assignments. You can find your supply list on www.freestylephoto.biz/get_sl.php. Class code is 62804. Also for class on Monday, please bring a photo that is meaningful to you in some way. This could be a picture that you have taken or a professional photographer in history has taken. Be prepared to discuss why this means something to you. Please be sure to bring your digital point and shoot to class for Thursday. Also those of you that are looking for some cheap SLR 35 mm film cameras. Here's a list from amazon
